#47: Blow Your Paycheque

"I like my money right where I can see it... hanging in my closet." - Carrie Bradshaw

The idea of 'blowing your paycheque' is relative. To me, it means taking all of the disposable income set aside for that bi-weekly period, and putting it into one, lone purchase.

The last two weeks were more lucrative than normal, leaving me to face the challenging dilemma of how to blow my excess income (please note my sarcastic tone). After learning to live off a measly government income during my sick leave, I've been eager to confront a dilemma as impossible as this one.

I flirted with the idea of investing in new gadgets like the iPad, iPhone, or a new laptop, and even explored costs for a trip down south in the winter. But after a quick, unplanned trip to the new shop around the corner from me, the money ended up, like Carrie Bradshaw's, hanging in my closet.

These two fabulous tops took me through the weekend, and will continue to take me into my birthday celebrations this week.

The purchase was worth it. Like a dear friend once said, the amount of pride I carry in sporting these two tops is more valuable to me than the measly price tag.
